ABOUT THE MINISTRY:

Our Senior Adult Ministry (commonly referred to as S.A.M.s) strives to involve all seniors, ages 50+, in activities that promote ministering not only to each other but also to our congregation and community, sharing God’s love with others, and fellowship. We meet to participate in a variety of mission service projects during the year. This includes monthly “Lunch Bunch” outings on the first Sunday of each month in which we share lunch and a time of fellowship at a variety of Bowie-area restaurants.

The Senior Adult Ministry participates in a variety of mission service projects such as leading Cresthill’s participation in the Samaritan’s Purse “Operation Christmas Child” (OCC) evangelism program to transform the lives of children worldwide through the Good News. S.A.M.s joins with other church ministries to support Cresthill’s Kaleidoscope event, our annual autumn outreach to the local community. There are other times where recreational programs and social outings are offered for the seniors’ enjoyment.

Psalm 71:18 “Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, O God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your might to all who are to come.”
