Members of Cresthill teach English as a Second Language (ESL) to
area residents from other countries.
Ministry to the
Homeless
Members of Cresthill gather every other Monday night to make Bag
Lunches which are taken to Washington D.C. and distributed through
a homeless shelter.
Ministry to the
Needy
Members of Cresthill participate in the P.G. County Christmas in
April Program in which they perform needed renovations on the home
a local resident.
Ministry to Seniors
Cresthill values the many seniors who live in Bowie and has
recently begun two ministries to the senior citizens of Bowie, we
anticipate more in the near future.
We lead
a Touchstones discussion group at Pin Oak Retirement Village
on Tuesday mornings. Shirley Brown is the leader of this ministry.
Members of the Pilots Sunday
Morning Bible Study Class visit the residents Sunny Days
Nursing Home each week. Sue Couey is the leader of this
ministry.
Clothing and Food Collections
Clean,
used clothing and small household items donated to Shelter for
Women and Children
Collected staples donated to Community Christian Presbyterian
Church's (CCPC) Food Pantry
Christmas Ministries
Members of Cresthill participate in the
Prince Georges County
White Christmas Program in which Christmas gifts are collected for
needy children and delivered to their homes along with groceries
just before Christmas.
Members of Cresthill participate in
Project Angel Tree in which
they collect gifts for the children of prisoners and deliver them
just before Christmas.
