How can YOU be saved?

God still loves you in spite of your sin and provided a way to be saved through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. "For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have Everlasting Life."  (John 3:16)

Again, scripture states: "Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved..."  (Acts 16:30-31)

Jesus came to earth 2000 years ago and lived as a sinless man. He came to reveal the true heart and mind of God to us so he could show us and teach us about His love for us. Through Jesus Christ we can know God and have a close relationship with Him. After a time, Jesus suffered at the hands of evil men and was nailed to a wooden cross to die. This was God's plan to pay the cost for your sins. He was buried, but after three days he rose from the dead. He showed himself to his disciples, to more than 500 people at the same time. Jesus even appeared to a man who was bent on arresting and killing those who believed in Him. But, he became a changed man when he met the risen Jesus and was filled with the Holy Spirit of God. That man became known as Paul, and he traveled throughout most of the known Roman world to spread this Gospel. Gospel means Good News.

Today can be your day!

You too can be forgiven and changed. You can be saved and have confidence of going to heaven.  Talk to God in your own words or in a prayer like this:

God, have mercy on me and save me.
I CONFESS
that I am a sinner. Please forgive me for all the wrong things I have ever done or thought.
I REPENT of my sins. (Repent means to turn away from sinful life and turn to God.) I have followed my own way, but now I want to trust you and follow you.
I BELIEVE that your promises are true and that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that He died for my sins and that he rose from the dead.
Thank you for giving me a new life in Jesus. Amen.

If you just prayed that prayer and believed it in your heart, the Bible says that you are new creation and God has adopted you as His child. As with any newborn, you need to be fed and taught how to live your new Christian life.
